Wheat Flour Dosa

DESCRIPTION

This is an innovation on the traditional dosa recipe pancake. This recipe gives the health benefits of wholemeal food.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 or 2 onions mediums chopped to small pcs
  • 1 capsicum chopped into small pcs
  • ¼ piece of red chilli or more according to your preference
  • Coriander leaves chopped into fine pcs
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • Oil enough to make dosa

Method

  1. Mix the following ingredients in one bowl: wheat flour, onion, capsicum, coriander and salt to taste
  2. Add the right amount of water such that the mixture is not too  thick nor too thin.
  3. Turn on the stove and place pan on stove. Add drops of oil and wait till the pan heats up.
  4. Take a scoop of the mixture, pour it onto the pan and spread it around the pan in a circular motion.
  5.  Add drops of oil around the circular edges of the dosa
  6. Wait for sometime until the bottom cooks and then flip the dosa so the top of the dosa gets cooked. Both sides of the dosa must be brown and this tells that the dosa is cooked.
  7. Serve hot along with any curry or chutney.
