potato curry
Ingredients
- 5 Medium size potatoes
- 1 long carrot and frozen or fresh
- green peas (optional)
- 2 big onions sliced lengthwise
- Slit green chillies to taste
- Curry leaves
- Corainder leaves
- 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger paste with
- skin
- 2 Tablespoons oil
- 3 cloves
- Salt to taste
- 1tsp-mustard,jeera,channa dal,urad dal
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- Enough water
Method
- 1.Boil the potatoes and peel the skin
- and nicely mash it and keep it aside .
- 2.Heat the oil in a pan and add
- cloves ,mustard,jeera,curry leaves and
- Let it splutter.Now add channa dal
- and urad dal and wait until color
- changes slightly.
- 3.Add onions, chopped carrots,peas
- ginger, chillies,turmeric fry for about
- 30mts.
- 4.Add the mashed potatoes and
- salt and enough water .Let it cook
- until the perfect curry comes .
- 5. Finally , Add chopped corainder
- leaves.
- Serve with chappathi,Poori and variety
- dosas .e about you.
