Plain Dosa
Ingredients
- Iddili rice -2-cups
- Urid dhal-1/2 cup
- salt to taste
Method
- T.Soak rice in water for 6 hours and urid dhal for 1 hour
- Grind the soaked rice, then grind the urid dhal.
- Mix the two together and add salt to taste.
- Leave over night to ferment. If your batter too thick the next day, you can add a little bit of water.
- Turn on the stove and sprinkle a little bit of oil on the pan.
- Once it heats up, take a large spoon of the batter and spread on the pan(circular motion)
- Drizzle some oil around the dosa.
- Flip to the other and again drizzle some oil around the edges.Once the dosa turns crispy and small holes are visible, if can be taken out of the pan.
- Repeat steps 6-9 until you desired amount of dosas.
- Serve with any chutney of choice or sambar.
