Methi Paratha (Fenugreek leaves Paratha)

Method

  1. Transfer the one cup of wheat flour and ½ of Besan flour into a large bowl.
  2. Add the turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder and the fenugreek leaves in the bowl.
  3. Add enough water to make a dough (just like making chapathi).
  4. Add a little bit of oil when making the dough so that it enhances the taste, and touch the dry flour so that it does not stick to your hands.
  5. Make small balls with the dough.
  6. Flatten out each ball - take each ball, touch the dry flour, and flatten out using the rolling pin.
  7. Turn on the stove, and place a flat pan.
  8. Sprinkle some oil and leave it to heat.
  9. Gently place one of the flattened out dough.
  10. Sprinkle oil around the edges of the Paratha.
  11. Flip sides until both sides cook.
  12. Repeat this process for the other flattened Methi Parathas are cooked.
  13. Serve it with Raita / Greek yoghurt, or pickles or any chutneys

  • Fresh/Dry Fenugreek leaves
  • ½ chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ cup Besan flour
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • Oil
  • Water
