Masala Tea
DESCRIPTION
Masala Tea, also known as Masala Chai (or Chai Latte), is a common Indian beverage. Made with a concoction of aromatic Indian spices, this tasty drink will refresh and energise your body. It can be made in many different ways depending on the spices used, and the quantity added. Watch this recipe to know how to enjoy this spiced tea in the convenience of your very own home.
This recipe is for 4 serves
- Tea bags
- 4 spoons raw sugar
- 2 cups Milk
- Few cardamom pods
- 3 cloves
- Small pce of ginger
- Small pce cinnamon bark
- Roughly grind all the spices together (cardamom, cloves, ginger and cinnamon bark) in a mortar and pestle. Add these ingredients to a saucepan.
- Add the milk into the saucepan
- Add 4 spoons of sugar into the dish
- Add 4 teabags
- Turn on the stove and place this saucepan on heat
- Leave it to boil well (At the stage of boiling, you can see colour diffusing from the tea bags, white foam forming on the top and the aroma arising).
- Use a tea filter while pouring into tea cups and serve
