Masala Cabbage

  1. Place the saucepan on the stove, add oil, and wait until the oil heats up.
  2. Add the onions and fry well.
  3. Add the tomatoes as well and fry along with the onion.
  4. Add the sambar powder and garam masala powder and stir well, and fry for sometime.
  5. Add the cabbage and mix thoroughly.
  6. Add salt to taste and close the saucepan with a lid, and leave until the cabbage cooks well.
  7. Serve with rice, chappati, bread, or naan.



  • Cabbage - handful chopped
  • 1 Onion - chopped
  • 3 tomatoes - chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp sambar powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - about 3 tbsp
