Kuzhi Paniyaram

Ingredients

  •  Dosa Batter – well fermented
  • • Plain Flour
  • • 1 Onion – Chopped finely
  • • Salt to taste
  • • 2 spoons of plain flour – needed if batter is too thin
  • • Coriander leaves – chopped finely
  • • 1 green chilli – chopped finely
  • • Ginger – small piece, chopped finely
  • • Oil

  • Kuzhi Paniyaram Chatti



Method

  1. . Mix the fermented Dosa batter with the chopped onion in a bowl.
  2. Add plain flour if the mixture is too thin.
  3. Add the coriander leaves, ginger, and chillies to this, and mix well
  4. Add salt to taste
  5. Place the Kuzhi Paniyaram chatti on the stove`
  6. In each shallow compartment, add some oil and wait until oil heats up
  7. Once oil heats up, add 1-2 spoonful of the dosa batter mixture into each shallow compartment of the Kuzhi Paniyaram Chatti
  8. Once the bottom side cooks, use the Kuzhi Paniyaram stick turn it around so that the top portion cooks.
  9. Once the top cooks, it can be taken out and kept on a plate.
  10. Repeat steps 7-9 until Dosa batter mixture finishes.
  11. Serve the Kuzhi Paniyaram with coconut chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
