Hot and Spicy Potato Fry (Kara Curry)
DESCRIPTION
Want something hot and delectable but don’t want to spend hours cooking? This is a great, handy recipe showing simple steps to create a fabulous dish using potatoes within minutes using microwave oven. You will not just certainly enjoy the taste of this dish but also be amazed by the simplicity of the cooking method.
Ingredients
- 4-5 potatoes peeled and chopped into small pieces
- Dried fenugreek leaves (generous pinch)
- 1 tbsp rice flour
- 1-2 tsp chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- Water
Method
- Transfer the potatoes into a Microwave safe dish
- Add chilli powder, dried fenugreek leaves and salt to taste into the dish.
- Drizzle oil onto the contents of the microwave dish and give the ingredients so that all potatoes are coated with the chilli powder, salt, fenugreek leaves and oil
- Add little bit of water so that the potatoes retain moisture even after they have been heated in the microwave
- Place in the oven for 7 minutes
- Remove and add plain flour onto the potatoes and mix so that the flour coats the potatoes
- Place in the oven for another 7 minutes
- Remove from the oven, add a squeeze juice on top and serve.
