Fried peanuts

FRIED PEANUTS







  1. 1/2 tablespoon of salt (if you like more salt add 1 tabsp)
  2. 2 or 3 red chillies (instead of chilli you can add 1 tablespoon pepper corns).
  3. 300 g shelled peanuts with skins on
  4. 1/2 of edible oil







Put 600 ml (2 cups ) of water in a saucepan with spices and salt,  and heat until this boils.  Add the peanuts continue heating for 5 more minutes.  Turn the heat off. Let the peanuts cool inside the liquid.
When cooled, drain the liquid and let the peanuts dry. Take the skins off the peanuts.  Heat the edible oil in a wok and fry the peanuts until they turn brown.  Serve the fried peanuts warm or cold as a snack.
